Today was the second meeting with the script doctor Johan Verzyck.
His comments on my work so far:
- Introduce the storm earlier in the film. Currently it acts like a Deus ex machina that magically solves everything. Instead it is beneficial to apply the 'plan and pay off' technique. This can be changed by introducing the storm with sounds and music.
- Basically make up what kind of sound and music I want to use. Find the pieces that inspire me, the music that can be the 'motor' of the film
With Kris and Yves:
- Agreed on introducing the storm (or the force that forces the two opposites together) earlier in the story.
- Deleted the scene with the change of the spiked sphere to the semi-cube, as it was confusing and could send the wrong message.
- Play more with the physicality of the cube and sphere when they have their game of attraction and repulsion. For example, let the cube balance on the sphere as if it is rolling on a circus ball
