Astrid Chamberland is a student Animation film.
She is studying for her Masters at LUCA School of Arts in Brussels.
Currently 21 years young, her work consists of small animation movies, some exercises and final year works.
As a child, she was drawing a lot with markers and pencils. Being an obedient and diligent student, she studied the old languages of Old Greek and Latin in high school. During classes, she continued to draw and daydream about complex characters and vivid sceneries. When she decided to study Animation Film, her environment thought that she was crazy to begin the studies without any background or close family in the art sector. While growing up to become a responsible and blooming adult, she is developing her own style of film making and story telling. The use of poetic metaphors give insight in the inner world of human kind. Moreover, the metaphors probably tell a lot about her personal inner life. In other words, she reflects on her observations and thoughts, then moulds them into a world with a sense of abstraction.
This site shows her study, pre-production and production progress on her revisited Master project.
